Wendy’s is proud to sponsor the 24th annual Harvest Marching Band Festival! This marching band show in Yakima, Washington on October 19th, is a long-time band tradition that Wendy’s has teamed up with. The We Love Band program, which launched last year, is proven successful in supporting high school marching bands of Spokane County. But now, this program is expanding to include other parts of the Pacific Northwest including Central Washington.
As the sponsor of the Harvest Festival, Wendy’s provides monetary support as well as advertising for the event. The talented musicians in attendance will also be gifted with a custom swag item and band directors will each receive a bag full of these custom items.
The We Love Band initiative aims to support musicians and give them recognition, while alleviating financial difficulties for band programs. The concept is heavily inspired by Dave Thomas’s value: Give Something Back. Wenspok, the Spokane headquartered franchisee, aims to uphold this value in their stores and community events, such as the Harvest Festival. The new program was founded by Tannor Glumbik, President’s EA & Marketing Manager. Tannor is a former high school marching band musician. During the summer, Wendy’s showed their support for high school marching bands by hosting sponsor nights and delivering swag and Frostys during practices for Spokane County high schools. Wendy’s is ecstatic to grow We Love Band to honor community tradition. The 24th Harvest Marching Band Festival will take place at Zaepfel Stadium. On Saturday, October 19th, Wendy's joined the Yakima and Columbia Basin Community in celebrating our talented youth musicians as they competed in the 23rd Annual Harvest Marching Band Festival presented by Wendy's. As title sponsor, Wendy's not only provided monetary support to the Harvest Festival, Wendy's also showed up with their We Love Band program. The We Love Band program – seeking to recognize our communities musicians – toured each band campsite to hand out custom swag to each student. Since many of the bands and students competing at the Harvest Festival where also at the Southeastern Washington Cavalcade of Bands on October 12th, the Wendy's Team passed out the 2024 edition of the Band Key Tag in contrast to the We Love Band Bucket Hat that was distributed at the Cavalcade of Bands. The Band Key Tag is a yearlong key tag granting the holder a free small Frosty with all purchases through the end of the 2024/2025 academic year. Wendy's also showed their support for the Harvest Festival by providing radio and social media advertisements inviting the community to attend and spectate this local display of marching band. As the end of the 2024 fall marching band season draws near, Wendy's looks forward to welcoming the Pacific Northwest Community as a whole to the 3A and 4A championships at the Festival of Bands sponsored by Wendy's in Eugene, Oregon on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024.
