Wendy’s is proud to sponsor the 2024 Pacific Northwest Marching Band Championships! This marching band show in Mead, Washington has been a staple of the Spokane area since the 1970’s. The We Love Band program, launched last year, has proven successful in supporting high school marching bands of Spokane County, one of which being Mead High School. But this year, the program is expanding to support the Pacific Northwest Marching Band Championship as well as other local Marching Band traditions.
As the sponsor of the Pacific Northwest Marching Band Championships, Wendy’s provides monetary support as well as advertising for the event. Each Band Director will also receive a custom swag bag that will include Wendy’s essentials, like hats, coupons, and water bottles.
The We Love Band initiative aims to support musicians and give them recognition, while alleviating financial difficulties for band programs. The concept is inspired by Founder Dave Thomas’s value: Give Something Back. Wenspok, the Spokane based Franchisee aims to uphold this value in their stores and community events, such as The Pacific Northwest Marching Band Championships. We Love Band was founded by Tannor Glumbik, President’s EA & Marketing Manager. Tannor is an Alumnus of Mead School District – the very school hosting the Championships – and a former marching band musician. During the summer, Wendy’s showed their support for Mead and other Spokane County High School marching bands by hosting sponsor nights and delivering swag and Frostys during their practices. By extending sponsorship to this Marching Band Championship, Wendy’s is stepping outside of the box to honor community tradition. Building upon the momentum of last year's partnership, the 2024 Pacific Northwest Marching Band Championships presented by Wendy's brings the We Love Band program to its second year in Mead, WA. The Wendy's Team and Frosty Mascot were excited to greet familiar faces to this longstanding PNW event with special We Love Band backpacks for each band director and the fun Wendy's prize wheel giving away free coupons to Wendy's favorites including Hot & Crispy Fries and Biscuits & Gravy.
